Q. How is F2M different from other seafood sites on the web?

A. Almost all existing seafood sites are web storefronts for retailers selling inventory from a warehouse. Our warehouse is virtual. Nothing is harvested until it's ordered. Your purchase is 100% unconditionally guaranteed.

Q. How did F2M come about?

 A. F2M supplies the best restaurants in America with premium seafood. The web allows us to extend our product offerings to a discerning clientele for home use. The same products and the same overnight delivery system can now serve you.

Q. Why doesn't F2M sell swordfish, bluefish, whiting, and other popular seafood products?

A. The web abounds with seafood sites that sell these products. F2M specializes in unique and hard-to-find products that are not available elsewhere.

Q. Why are some F2M products unavailable from time-to-time?

A. The availability of F2M products depends upon the season, weather, and other conditions that can affect a catch or harvest. Additionally, the harvesting of many seafood products is regulated in order to maintain a sustainable supply.

 

Product FAQ

Q. What's wrong with frozen seafood?

 A. Frozen seafood will NEVER be as good as the incredibly fresh (or live) products that we carry.

Q. How should F2M products be prepared?

A. We have included a recipe, courtesy of one of our prestigious restaurant clients, for many product categories. We have also provided links to an extensive listing of seafood recipes found on "epicurious.com". Additional tips are available to members of our exclusive A-fish-ionado Club. F2M seafood is so deliciously fresh, the simplest preparations will be best.

Q. How long will F2M seafood stay fresh?

A. To enjoy the "just-harvested" flavor of our exotic products, we recommend you prepare them as soon as possible. If you do not plan to prepare your F2M selection within 2 days of delivery, you may wish to freeze it upon arrival.

 

Order FAQ

Q. How are F2M products shipped?

A. All of our products are shipped overnight via Federal Express from wherever they are harvested. Temperature control is maintained by utilizing recyclable polystyrene containers and reusable gel-pacs.

Q. What happens if I order something and FedEx doesn't deliver it?

A. If FedEx fails to deliver your order due to weather or mechanical issues, what they refer to in the FedEx Service Guide as an "Act of God," Farm 2 Market will reship your order at a future time convenient to you, with no additional charges. There will be no refunds, however, only in-house credits that can de deployed in the future any way you want. Mechanical areas are only chance of a refund once we subbmit a claim with FedEx

Q. I'm having my order shipped to my office. Is that safe?

A. Yes. Our products are expertly packed to avoid spillage or odors and will maintain the appropriate temperature for up to 24 hours.

Q. What are the shipping charges for F2M orders?

A. We have a great system that's easy to understand.

  • Guaranteed (by FedEx) by 3:00 pm is a flat rate of $40 to most area codes
  • Guaranteed (by FedEx) by  10:30 am is a flat rate of $45 to most area codes

No matter how much you order, no matter how many different locations it ships from, the charge is still the same: Either $40 or $45 -- your choice.
